As the Swedish training camp continues to be full of interviews, there’s been some nice content for Tottenham Hotspur fans.
We’ve already seen winger Dejan Kulusevski talking about the possibility of becoming a captain in the future, and now he discusses one of Spurs’ freshest signings.
Quoted by Aftonbladet, the 23-year-old talked about the arrival of Lucas Bergvall at Tottenham, saying he had a part in convincing the youngster to join them.
“I told him the truth. How much I enjoyed Tottenham as a club and London as a city, how good the coach was and how good my teammates were. That was enough, it seems,” said Dejan Kulusevski.
Asked about Barcelona’s competition with Tottenham to get Bergvall, Kulusevski thinks it was a good position for a youngster to be in.
“It’s not easy to get into a position where you can choose which team to play in. It was entirely his decision, but I was really happy that he chose Tottenham.”
Bergvall, who’s just started the season with Djurgarden, has three goals and four assists in six appearances for his club already.
Following Tottenham’s €10m agreement to sign him, they now wait for the summer to add the 18-year-old to their squad.
Even though Bergvall made his international debut with Sweden back in January, he’s now back to the U-21 squad, and should soon start getting more chances in the first team, especially with them out of the Euros this summer.
