Wout Weghorst has admitted he is ‘living a dream’ at Manchester United since arriving on loan from Burnley in January.
The Dutch forward is currently a part of the Netherlands squad for the international break, during which he sat down for a chat with Veronica Inside.
The subject of his time at Manchester United thus far was naturally high on the agenda, with the striker currently playing a big role at Old Trafford.
He moved to the club as a temporary replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo after he departed before the World Cup in controversial circumstances.
The move has been questioned since it happened, with many debating whether Weghorst was good enough to play for Manchester United given how much he struggled at Burnley last season.
Weghorst has ignored that talk since day one, instead focusing on integrating himself into Erik ten Hag’s team and making as much of an impact as possible.
That is something he’s managed to do thus far and he insists that he is absolutely loving life at the club as a result.
“Whether I’m living a dream? Definitely. In my eyes, this is the absolute top and one of the biggest clubs in the world,” Soccer News report him saying.
“I feel like I’m very much in place. I am super happy, soulful. I play at a wonderful level and can be of value as a starting player… That makes me a happy man.”
