Feyenoord star Igor Paixão has insisted he is leaving his future in God’s hands, as he continues to be linked with the likes of Liverpool.

1908 cover comments from the winger today made to ESPN in which he insists he won’t be getting involved in any transfer business.

Paixão is one of the rising stars in the Netherlands after impressing again for Feyenoord this season, both in the Eredivisie and the Champions League.

He’s been linked with a move away from the Dutch club for months and Liverpool have never been left out of those rumours, largely thanks to his former manager Arne Slot being in charge at Anfield.

A report in March insisted that Liverpool were very much keeping an eye on his ongoing development, while former Dutch footballer Rob Jacobs has insisted, he would not be surprised if Liverpool did move for him at some point.

Indeed, he could be a replacement for Luis Diaz, who has been heavily linked with a move away from Anfield this summer.

Paixão has regularly insisted he isn’t paying attention to the rumours and continues that in his conversation with ESPN, insisting he’s leaving everything in God’s hands.

“My focus is still here. I want to end the season well. I want to make the supporters happy,” he said.

“I leave it to God. My agents and the Feyenoord board choose the best path.

“I believe in God because of how I am doing. Everyone can see how hard I work for it. I believe that things will go well by themselves.”
