Spending two seasons at Manchester City between 2017 and 2019, Danilo wasn’t what you would call a regular under Pep Guardiola.

Often used as a utility player by the Spanish manager, the Brazilian was then sold to Juventus with Joao Cancelo going the other way.

He has since established himself in Italy, making 32 Serie A starts under Andrea Pirlo last season, and could be joined by a former teammate of his, Gabriel Jesus, if all rumours are to be believed.

There have been a number of reports that Juventus are keen on bringing in the Manchester City striker to Turin should Harry Kane end up at the Etihad, and a loan deal would be the best way to do that.

Nothing has come of it just yet, since Jesus is currently with his national team in the Copa America final, while Harry Kane will look to win the Euros at Wembley on Sunday by defeating Italy.

Danilo, on Thursday, sat down with Gazzetta dello Sport to have a chat about all things Juventus, and was asked whether he would advise the Manchester City striker to have an experience in Italy.

He said: “Of course, Gabriel is good and very intelligent. He could grow more in Italy because in Serie A, they close down well and it’s harder to score. If I could, I would bring him to Juventus”.
