Leeds United star Crysencio Summerville has again hinted he sees his future in the Premier League, as he eyes a potential reunion with Feyenoord teammate Quinten Timber there.
The forward has been speaking to Voetbal Primeur, largely focusing on former club Feyenoord.
The Leeds man spent the majority of his youth at Feyenoord, working his way up through the youth ranks between 2017 and 202 before moving to Leeds in September 2020.
He left the Dutch club under something of a cloud after incidents behind the scenes but the relationship between has somewhat defrosted in the time since, with them having even looked to bring him back in the recent transfer windows.
That won’t be happening any time soon as Summerville has gone on to establish himself as the star at Elland Road, particularly this season, in which he has 18 goals and nine assists in 40 games so far.
He’s very much the man propelling Leeds back towards the Premier League, with Daniel Farke’s side currently second in the table, a point ahead of Leicester City in third and a point behind Ipswich in first.
Whether they secure one of those automatic spots, or even go up from the play-offs remains to be seen, but Summerville has again hinted his future lies in the top flight and would even like to reunite with one of his old teammates there.
“I still follow Feyenoord here and there,” he told Voetbal Primeur.
“A few of my mates are playing: Quilindschy Hartman, Lutsharel Geertruida, Antoni Milambo and Quinten Timber.
“They are doing well. It’s just a little more difficult than last year, because PSV is doing so well now. I’ll definitely keep an eye on them and hope they continue to do well.
“And actually, I’m just surprised by Timber, because he’s doing really great. He has really found his niche and is developing into a top player. That really makes me feel good.
“I hope so (to secure promotion), and then he (Timber) will also meet his brother (Jurriën Timber). That would be really nice.”
