Emerson Royal has been talking himself up after he finally completed a move to AC Milan from Tottenham.
Calciomercato cover comments from the Brazilian full-back today as he appears to be determined to big himself up to Milan fans and start life in Italy on the front foot.
The defender had been linked with a move to Milan for the entirety of this summer, with the deal slowly progressing over the last few weeks as they and Tottenham refused to meet each other despite only being a few million apart.
Throughout the process Emerson has been very clear that he wants the move and to leave Tottenham, consistently urging the two clubs to find an agreement and making his feelings known.
He confirmed that he also received offers from Saudi Arabia, Germany and the Premier League to leave Tottenham this summer but wanted Milan, while insisting that they’re getting a leader on and off the pitch.
“I spoke a lot with Milan, and it was always clear that Milan was the best option for me,” he said about the move.
“I get emotional easily, but seeing all those trophies… It was a dream. Everyone talks about Milan and all the Brazilians would like to come here. It’s a fantastic moment and I can’t wait to get started.”

“Honestly, the last few months have been intense. I travelled with Tottenham and every day I called my agent. I really wanted to come. I didn’t know my future; it was a mix. I was also a little scared, because time passed. I’m happy to be here.”
