Manchester United were among several clubs credited with interest in Bayern Munich right-back Benjamin Pavard in the last window.

Towards the end of July, claims from Germany stated the 26-year-old had been offered to the Red Devils.

On August 27th, Sky Deutschland reported that a move to Manchester United was unlikely for the defender even though Ten Hag ‘flirted’ with him.

Téléfoot were given an opportunity to interview the France international and he revealed he’d contemplated the possibility of leaving the Bundesliga winners in the summer. The player also stressed there were approaches made by several clubs.

“I questioned myself. I had calls from different clubs with my agent. Afterwards, I had the Bayern coach with whom we spoke and with whom we have a good relationship. He made me understand that I was in his plans, that I was important for the team,” he told Téléfoot, as relayed by Foot01.

“Maybe one day I will go to one of these clubs, you never know what the future holds. I’m still a year at Bayern Munich. Afterwards, we have time to project ourselves.”

Pavard didn’t reveal the details of the clubs that contacted him. According to Téléfoot, the clubs that showed interest in Pavard in the summer were Manchester United, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, Atlético Madrid and Juventus.

Ten Hag currently has Diogo Dalot and Aaron Wan-Bissaka as the two right-backs at his disposal at Old Trafford, with the former being the first-choice player in the position at Manchester United this season.
