Patrick Dorgu made three Premier League appearances since joining Manchester United from US Lecce at the end of the winter market.
On Wednesday, the Denmark international won his first league game with the Red Devils in their 3-2 victory over Ipswich Town.
It was a disappointing evening for the new Manchester United signing as his error helped Ipswich Town take the lead in the fourth minute. The 20-year-old was then sent off after a mistimed tackle on Omari Hutchinson.
Denmark manager Brian Riemer was a pundit for Viaplay yesterday where he analysed Dorgu’s error that led to the Ipswich Town opener. Camp.dk have relayed his comments.
The national team boss feels for the Manchester United player after his mix-up with André Onana for Ipswich Town’s first goal. He states the mistake took place because of the lack of communication between the wing-back and the goalkeeper.
“I feel for the boy. Everyone knows it’s not nice to be in a situation like that,” he said.
“But from the coaching side of the table, it’s worse if tactical decisions and individual skills are not good enough.
“From a coaching perspective, I can reassure him by saying it’s a real misunderstanding. It’s a communication error at some level, and of course it shouldn’t happen, but I think all defenders have experienced that.”
Ruben Amorim can’t pick the player for Manchester United’s next three domestic fixtures.
Dorgu’s impressive performances for US Lecce helped him make his debut for Denmark in September. He made four appearances for the national team and one of those came after Riemer took charge last October.
