Ever since Tottenham signed Radu Dragusin from Genoa, his agent, Florin Manea, has embraced the new attention he has been receiving in Romania.
After all, he was the one who orchestrated, with some help, the most expensive transfer of a Romanian player of all time, and there is a lot of excitement in the centre-back’s home country about the move.
The fact Manea has been very open about certain aspects of the transfer has annoyed a few, with some criticism being sent his way, but the Tottenham signing’s agent doesn’t care, as he made clear to Digisport.
One of the big issues that were raised was his statement that he could see Dragusin playing for a team like Real Madrid down the line, which was interpreted as Spurs being a mere stepping stone for the player’s career.
However, he made it clear that wasn’t the case, and if he gets criticised for what he says, so be it as long as it doesn’t affect the Tottenham player.
He said: “The statement I made was done on a Digi broadcast six years ago. I said he would play in Italy, Tottenham and Real Madrid, and in the euphoria of the moment, I repeated it. They can criticise me, the important things is that Radu is good. I don’t have to be loved.”
