Bayer Leverkusen star Jeremie Frimpong has insisted he doesn’t know when he will sort out his future, amid increasing interest from Manchester United.
The defender has been speaking to Sport 1, relayed by Fussball Transfers, after the 1-1 draw with Royal Union Saint-Gilloise last night.
Following that game, he was asked whether he had decided what he would be doing this summer, with his performances this season having earned him admirers inside and outside of Germany.
Manchester United are believed to be one of them, with Erik ten Hag keen to add a right-back to his squad and for next season.
His compatriot is a player he is believed to be keen on and a recent report stated that they had already held concrete talks about a transfer.
That was followed by claims that Ten Hag was pushing for the move to happen and that Manchester United were at the front of the queue for his signature.
It seems, though, nothing is imminent at this point, with the defender insisting “I don’t know when I will decide about my future. I’m just concentrating on Leverkusen and the upcoming games,” when the subject of his future was brought up last night.
That would suggest there is nothing moving on the transfer front at the moment, and we may need a few weeks before a switch to Old Trafford becomes anything more concrete.
