Following the many rumours on the future of Rubin Kazan winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, his agent has now come up to talk about his situation.

Last month, reports from the Italian media had named Tottenham Hotspur in the race for his signing, claiming they could battle Milan for the transfer. Now his agent has addressed Spurs interest, and also mentioned Leeds United, Everton, Brighton & Hove Albion and Wolves.

Representative Mamuka Jugheli was interviewed by Georgian outlet Sportall, and confirmed that the 20-year-old is very likely to leave his club in this transfer window.

“I have to meet the president of Rubin after August 12. With 85-90% probability, Kvaratskhelia will change teams and play in a very high level club in Europe,” Jugheli told Sportall.

“There is a lot of interest – from England, Italy or Germany. Everything will be clear by the end of August.”

Then when speaking about the clubs who’ve been chasing Kvaratskhelia, the agent tried to say that not all rumours are true, but then ended up confirming that Tottenham are in touch for his signing.

“I do not understand where the information is spread by people who have no relationship with the player, the club or the agent. I say with full responsibility that there was no interest from Milan and we did not contact the former captain of the Georgian national team about this issue.

“There was interest from a Milan club, but it was Inter whose leadership we met in April. As for Tottenham, I will confirm the information in this case, there’s a serious interest from them. I cannot say anything new about Leeds and Khvicha.”

He also listed another bunch of clubs who want the player, that’s when Brighton, Wolves and Everton were named.

“Khvicha is wanted by almost every team in the English Premier League, for example, Everton, Brighton and Wolves, but one thing is interest and the other is a real offer. Apart from Inter from Italy, Kvaratskhelia is also wanted by Juventus. There’s the interest of Atalanta, Napoli and Lazio. The initiative is shown by at least five clubs of the German Bundesliga.”

“At this stage, active negotiations are underway with only two clubs, one of which is in England and the other in Italy. They know all the details related to the player transfer.”

Those reports from Italy had claimed that Rubin Kazan would demand €18m for his move. Besides Spurs and Milan, Bundesliga sides Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Monchengladbach were said to be interested in the winger as well.
