Tottenham target Dario Osorio has been described as a “humble guy (who) loves football” as Spurs and other clubs in Europe hover around him.
Tipsbladet provide a profile of the youngster today amid reports that Tottenham and others are all keeping an eye on the 21-year-old.
We covered a report at the end of November that Tottenham and Manchester United had been in attendance to watch Midtjylland take on Eintracht Frankfurt in Europe. They were both believed to be following Osorio closely.
That was followed by a report earlier this month that Tottenham had returned for another Europa League game and, Osorio was in the viewfinder again.
For now, they appear to just be keeping a close eye on Osorio’s development, but he’s continued to impress for Midtjylland, with four goals and one assist in 24 games in all competitions this season.
In fact, he’s now up to 12 goals and three assists in 48 games for the club in total and very much their key player domestically and in Europe.
His performances are not going unnoticed and teammate Jonas Lössl can certainly see a big move coming at some point, whether to Tottenham or somewhere else.
“His kick is so natural and clean. He can turn the foot in a way that only the best I’ve seen can,” he said.
“Those who know golf know this perfectly pure battle where you make the ball perfectly. That’s the pure turn that Darío has, just with the leg. And it’s so delicious.
“Those things make me think he can play not only in a bigger league, but also for a big team. I just think he is well. I really like that we have a star in him after all. There is no doubt. He is one of our star players, but he also works behind. And it likes that like me. He does not go beyond the community or anything. He works through.”
That attitude is something which hasn’t gone unnoticed by his manager, Thomas Thomasberg, who was keen to praise Osorio’s humble nature.
“He has come up with a really positive approach to things,” he added.
“We have work a bit with the temperament, which has also been seen in many other cases in South American matches and players where things can cook a little.
“We have worked with that, but beyond that, there are so many positive things to take around a humble guy who is happy to play football and know this is an important step in his career. He goes in to all matches with a good approach and full concentration.”
