Hull City are keen on signing Galatasaray duo of Victor Nelsson and Roland Sallai this summer.

Nelsson spent this season on loan at Hellas Verona but has to return to Turkey following the Serie A side’s relegation.

Hull City want to sign the 27-year-old and on Tuesday, Sport Witness relayed news Acun Ilıcalı is leading their pursuit. The Istanbul club are asking €10m for the centre-back.

The Denmark international isn’t the only Galatasaray player on the Tigers’ agenda. That’s according to Habertürk, who add the Tigers have Sallai in their short list.

Hull City keen on Galatasaray duo

In a short report, the newspaper claim Hull City target Victor Nelsson and Roland Sallai.

The Turkish champions have no plans to keep the defender, and the English club can take advantage of this to secure his services.

Sporx backs it up and share more updates on the Tigers’ interest in the Dane and the 29-year-old Hungary international.

They claim Acun Ilıcalı wants the Galatasaray duo and his side have expressed interest in signing them.

Sergej Jakirović’s side have initiated moves to sign both the Dane and the right-back. Hull City, led by Ilıcalı, will start negotiations with the Süper Lig winners in the coming days.

The two reports make no mention of the duo’s price and Galatasaray’s stance on parting ways with the Hungarian.

Last month, Sport Witness covered claims from Turkey of Fulham’s interest in Sallai. The Istanbul club are willing to sell him but need at least €15m this summer.

Rule change could favour Hull City

As per the new rule, the Turkish clubs can’t have more than 14 foreign players in their squad from next season. This has to include three foreign players born after January 2023.

Galatasaray want to get rid of Victor Nelsson also because his contract expires in 2027.

This favours Hull City, and they would have to offer at least €15m to convince Galatasaray to sell Roland Sallai.

The Tigers are already at work to improve their squad after securing a promotion to the Premier League.
