There’s a claim in the Turkish media Hull City are showing interest in Nigerian attacker David Akintola.
The 29-year-old is currently without a club after a season long stay at Çaykur Rizespor came to an end last month.
Ajanspor report on the latest developments regarding the right winger’s future and state Genclerbilriği and Hull City are in the race to sign the player on a free transfer.
It’s claimed the Ankara club have already made their move for Akintola and made an offer to the player. There are no reports if the forward will accept the Super Lig side’s contract offer.
With uncertainty over the future of Abdülkadir Ömür at Hull City they may need to add to their attacking options in this transfer window and Akintola looks to be an option.
Ömür looks set for a return to the Super Lig after being linked with a number of top-flight Turkish sides in recent weeks.
Akintola made 36 appearances in all competitions for Çaykur Rizespor last season, scoring three and providing three assists.
