Last night, it was reported Hull City have agreed a deal with Inter to sign Andrea Ranocchia on loan for the rest of the season. On Tuesday, Italy’s Gazzetta dello Sport have shared more information on Ranocchia’s move to Hull City.
Gazzetta say Ranocchia will sign on a six month loan deal, and Hull City will pay his wages, which amounts to around €2m.
It’s been reported the Italian defender took a few hours to make a decision on his future, and is now heading to England. However, it seems Hull City don’t have the option to make his loan deal permanent, or if they do Gazzetta haven’t mentioned it.
The 28-year-old is expected to undergo medical examinations today, and Hull City will be hopeful to conclude a deal before tonight’s deadline. With just 5 league appearances under his belt this season, a move to Hull City makes sense for Ranocchia.
The 28-year-old hasn’t played much in the last couple of seasons, and will now be looking to kick start his career.
