Nottingham Forest currently find themselves third in the Premier League and therefore in a spot which qualifies for the Champions League next season.
Of course, it will be a huge battle for the club to stay in that position, but if they manage to do so then their transfer plans for the coming summer will look very different indeed.
That’s going to lead to lead to endless claims and links, and some of those will appear quite outlandish.
AreaNapoli are kicking things off in that regard and they report Victor Osimhen is one of the names Nottingham Forest are considering for attack, as long as they qualify for the Champions League.
Osimhen is owned by Napoli but is currently on loan at Galatasaray. It’s explained the player himself may be keen on a longer stay in Turkey, as long as Gala can pay what the Serie A club want and commit to higher than €10m a year in wages.
Football salary figures are often reported in Italy after tax, so that’s to be considered.
At this stage, this feels like something of a wild report and perhaps an attempt to chance a claim given Nottingham Forest’s recent success.
