West Ham United goalkeeper Łukasz Fabiański made 16 appearances this season and has kept four clean sheets and conceded 27 goals.

The 39-year-old made the majority of those appearances under Julen Lopetegui and has played only three games since Graham Potter’s arrival at West Ham in January.

Fabiański’s contract expires in June, with the Hammers having an option for another year.

Earlier this week, claims from the UK reported the stopper could leave the London club in the summer window. This has reached the Polish press and Transfery.info have relayed an update shared by journalist Sebastian Staszewski.

These claims from England have left Legia Warsaw’s fans excited about the possibility of him leaving West Ham after this season. Fabiański spent two years with the Polish club between 2005 and 2007 and won the title with them during the 2005/06 season.

Staszewski shared an update on Fabiański when responding to suggestions that he has no plans of returning to his former club.

“He told me he would like to. Let’s be calm, I think he even said it in my interview. I bet he could play for three years,” he said.

Staszewski or Transfery.info haven’t exactly specified as to what ‘interview’ the journalist is refereeing to.

The outlet states the West Ham man’s desire is key for Legia Warsaw to bring him back to the club. They add the contract proposal has to be ‘very good’, but the finances won’t be an ‘important factor’ for the transfer to take shape.
