Mads Hermansen has had a decent season for Leicester City.

While the Foxes’ relegation has already been confirmed, the goalkeeper made a mark and in a way, his season was a personal success.

He’s played 26 times in the Premier League and in the past, he has shown to be a very reliable stopper in the Championship too.

Former Denmark international Brian Laudrup has now made it clear in a chat with ViaPlay that Hermansen should seek an exit from Leicester City and that he has outgrown the second division in England.

He said, as relayed by TipsBladet:  “He has proven that he is too good for the Championship. In my opinion, he should move on from Leicester.

“I think that a year or more in the Championship will neither be conducive to his development nor the opportunity to play for the Danish national team. I expect him to leave Leicester this summer.”

Earlier this season, the Dane broken a Premier League record for making the most number of saves in a single game and that says a lot about his season.

While Leicester City would want to keep their best assets in the second division, Hermansen might not share that opinion.

He is currently 24 and reaching the peak of his powers. Playing in the top-flight would be a much better option for him to make sure that he grows into a better player.
