Barcelona have received an injury boost to face Manchester United in the second leg of the Europa League knockout round playoff tie at Old Trafford next Thursday.
The first leg at the Camp Nou ended in a 2-2 draw and Sergio Busquets was forced to miss the tie due to an injury.
On Friday, Mundo Deportivo reported there are doubts over the midfielder’s availability to face Manchester United next midweek.
The La Liga side take on Cádiz on Sunday and Xavi Hernández has included the 34-year-old in the squad for the weekend tie. Sport state the player’s return is ‘good news’ for the Catalan club, especially for the clash against the Red Devils.
Busquets completed the full training session on Saturday. He isn’t expected to start against Cádiz tomorrow but will ‘have minutes’ at Old Trafford on February 23rd.
Meanwhile, Xavi will not be able to rely upon Gavi, Pedri and Ousmane Dembélé for the European fixture against Manchester United. The former is suspended for the return leg while the latter two will miss the tie due to injuries.
