After Lucas Leiva’s transfer to Galatasaray collapsed, it looks like the Brazilian midfielder has attracted some interest from Italy.
He was first linked to Internazionale, and now, according to Tuttosport, it’s Milan who are considering an attempt to sign him.
As Leiva is running out of contract with Liverpool next summer, the newspaper claims that he could be leaving the club for a “modest figure”.
They also say the business would be easier to happen because Milan and Liverpool have a good relationship, mentioning the Mario Balotelli loan deal as evidence of it.
But Leiva is only considered to be a plan b, as Milan have Fernando from Manchester City as a priority. The talks with the Sky Blues are expected to happen first, and in the case the Italian side fail to land the Manchester City player, then they’ll try the Liverpool player.
