Erling Haaland has starred in his debut season at Manchester City, managing 52 goals and eight assists from 48 games.
His fine displays had earlier led to suggestions that Real Madrid could try to sign him when his reported release clause comes into effect.
Mundo Deportivo have interviewed the Manchester City star’s agent, Rafaela Pimenta, and asked if her client’s release clause is €180m.
“Much has been said, whether Guardiola, whether the grandmother, the mother…” she said.
When stressed it would be the right time to clear everything around the reported clause, Pimenta explained: “I have nothing to clarify. The mystery of this story is very nice because you don’t know where it is, like the treasure house. It’s nicer and as a lawyer I can’t reveal contracts.”
The Norway international’s agent has backed him to break records when asked ‘where can Haaland go?’.
“He is capable of adapting quickly to a new club, to a team, to the coach… it is as if he had always been there. That gives you a lot of peace of mind and allows you to move forward.
“He is very calm in his professional and personal life, he has the quality, today he is in the right place, with the right team and the right coach. In Brazil, we say that the sky’s the limit. I think he will break all records.”
Manchester City are in contention to win the treble this season. To achieve it, they will have to overcome Real Madrid at home on Wednesday. Pimenta has backed Guardiola’s side to progress to the final of the European competition.
“There is a very difficult game left at the Etihad, but I trust Erling and City to be able to be in the final and then win it. Today I am a fan of City,” she concluded.
