West Ham have quickly added a little extra to their Javier Hernandez offer and agreed a deal to sign the Bayer Leverkusen forward, report Kicker.

Earlier claims on Thursday morning from Germany stated that West Ham’s initial offer of €16m wasn’t enough for Bayer Leverkusen, who were looking for something closer to €20m.

Adding a further €2m in what seems like possible bonuses, and making the deal worth €16-18m, appears to have done the trick, with the Bundesliga club not totally against a sale this summer, as Hernandez’s contract expires next June.

German newspaper Bild had earlier reported that personal terms have been agreed between Hernandez and West Ham, and it was just a matter of agreeing the final fee, Kicker now say everything is ‘perfect’, and Little Pea will be heading to London to sign the contract.

Sky Deutschland believe the transfer will be announced on Thursday.

The move will give Hernandez a chance to return to the Premier League, where he previously represented Manchester United. Jose Mourinho has spoken of his disappointment that Hernandez is no longer at Old Trafford, and made it clear he wouldn’t have sold the player.
