Since returning from his loan at Sevilla last summer, Bryan Gil is having a hard time getting chances at Tottenham Hotspur.

The winger only has 207 minutes on the pitch under Ange Postecoglu, with nine appearances made, and is clearly not among the manager’s preferred choices so far.

That’s why Estadio Deportivo now writes about Gil’s situation, claiming he’s close to leaving Tottenham in the middle of the season.

The outlet claims this scenario has put the winger in the ‘spotlight’, as he could ‘look for a way out’ in the January window, although his future is currently a ‘real unknown’.

Tottenham are now set to have Timo Werner in the squad, and that will only increase the competition for a place in their attack, giving Gil fewer chances to play.

Even though the player has a big history with Sevilla, they do not mention any interest from the La Liga side in signing him again, although the whole story may sound like a hint that they should make a move.
