Earlier on Monday, we covered a line from Corriere dello Sport, which explained that Napoli were still considering a move for Fulham’s Sasa Lukic.

The Serbia international has failed to convince under Marco Silva this season, playing mostly from the bench, and was said to be bored with his role at Craven Cottage.

Well, Fulham appear to be aware of this, as journalist Valter De Maggio, speaking to Radio Kiss Kiss, relayed by Torino Granata, explained.

He said: “Napoli are tracking Sasa Lukic. The player is currently at Fulham. The English club would only be willing to sell him on loan with an obligation to buy.”

What could play in Napoli’s favour if there was any competition is that Lukic already knows the man in charge of the Serie A side: Walter Mazzarri.

The two already worked together at Torino when the manager was there, and that’s why the Fulham midfielder would be a ‘welcome profile’ for him.

Whether any of this takes shape in the form of a concrete offer, we’ll have to wait and see.

The 27-year-old midfielder has made 15 appearances in all competitions for the Craven Cottage side this season, the latest of which was a seven minute cameo at the end of the 1-0 loss to Fulham.
