Barcelona are determined to offload Jean-Clair Todibo before the window closes and the centre-back has been linked with clubs in the Premier League.
Everton, Fulham and Leicester City have been regularly discussed as sides who have an interest in the defender, but they have not been willing to meet the unreasonable €25m requested by the La Liga side.
There seems to be a new development on this ongoing saga, according to Mundo Deportivo journalist Miguel Rico.
Rico claims the Catalan club have ‘reached an agreement’ with Fulham for the former Toulouse man’s transfer for €18m.
However, the 20-year-old’s move to Craven Cottage is ‘not closed’ because the Frenchman isn’t keen on joining Scott Parker’s side.
Barcelona, who are still looking to raise funds by offloading fringe players, hope to convince Todibo to sign for the Cottagers.
Fulham are one of the three Premier League clubs who are yet to pick up a point from their first three matches, having conceded 10 goals in the process.
The English club’s owner Tony Khan has confirmed his side have been actively looking for a new centre-back throughout the window.
Fulham haven’t secured a player in the position yet, and whether or not they will be able to bring a new centre-back in the last four days of the window remains to be seen.
