Goal Brasil today shares some interesting news on the international future of Fulham star Andreas Pereira.
As reported by the Brazilian media this week, new national team manager Dorival Junior is set to visit the Whites’ training ground, and that’s a big sign the midfielder might get a new chance to prove himself with the yellow shirt.
Now Goal comes up to confirm it, claiming that besides seeing Pereira train with Fulham, the coach will also have a meeting with the 28-year-old.
The outlet claims that the midfielder is very keen on playing for Brazil again, and a proof of that is his rejection to Belgium.
Even though Pereira was born in Duffel, it’s said he already rejected their national team three times, and an approach was made recently.
Since he only has one appearance for Brazil in a friendly, he could change shirts and play for Belgium, but that’s not his desire.
Long before joining Fulham, Pereira played for Belgium’s U-16 and U-17 levels. He played for Brazil’s U-20 and U-23, and made his appearance for the first team back in December 2018.
Now this could be the time for a return.
