Fulham have made an official offer for Roma full-back Zeki Celik as they look to bolster their squad before Monday’s deadline.
That’s according to journalist Gianluca di Marzio, who reports that Roma may be open to a deal after signing Devyne Rensch from Ajax.
Di Marzio reports that the January transfer market is continuing with apace in Serie A and Roma find themselves in the middle of it. They, like other clubs, are working on both incoming and outgoing transfers.
After announcing one of the former with the arrival of Rensch, they could now be about to say goodbye to Celik.
That’s because they have received an official offer from Fulham for the 27-year-old right-back. Di Marzio provides no further details than the fact Fulham have proposed a loan deal.
It seems the initial offer does not include an option or obligation for it to be made permanent, though, as he states that if an obligation is included then the situation could change, and he’ll be allowed to depart.
Roma manager Claudio Ranieri is currently analysing the offer and hasn’t given the green light to it. The player is also evaluating, and contacts will continue over the next few hours.
