Fulham are ‘specifically interested’ in a move for Borussia Mönchengladbach’s Rocco Reitz this summer.
That’s according to Sky Deutschland, and they cover Fulham’s interest and the Bundesliga club’s plan for the 23-year-old.
The defensive midfielder is an academy graduate and has been a regular since returning from a loan spell at Sint-Truiden in the summer of 2023. He played 28 games last season and missed over a month due to a toe injury.
His performances seem to have convinced Marco Silva’s side, who are showing ‘concrete interest’ in securing his services. Reitz was also part of the Germany U21 squad that lost the European championship final to England U21 last weekend.
The report states the Gladbach fan favourite has received multiple enquires, including one from the Premier League club. The player has a contract lasting until 2028, and the German club seem to be worried about several clubs trying to sign him.
There’s a possibility for Reitz to change clubs this summer and Sky state Borussia Mönchengladbach are ‘desperate’ to keep him. It’s unclear whether they’ll be successful or if Fulham will convert their concrete interest into an offer.
