Having sold Aleksandar Mitrović to Al-Hilal, Fulham are looking to sign a new striker in the last week of the window.
On Thursday, Marco Silva ruled out a move for Juventus’ Moise Kean, and the Premier League side seem to have shifted their focus to Flamengo star Pedro.
That’s according to iG Esporte, who state Fulham have contacted the Brazilian club to ask about the 26-year-old.
It’s further claimed the London club are ‘evaluating’ the possibility of formalising an offer to sign the frontman. The two clubs haven’t yet talked about the figures needed to carry out the operation.
The website states the Brazil international’s representatives will hold talks with Flamengo soon to discuss his situation. The frontman has managed 27 goals and four assists from 41 games this year.
Pedro isn’t favoured by manager Jorge Sampaoli and this has clearly not pleased him.
The player is considering leaving his current employer and has received interest from Fulham, Zenit Saint Petersburg and other clubs. Despite this, Flamengo aren’t rushing to sanction his sale this summer.
Pedro’s contract runs down in December 2027 and iG Esporte state it includes a €60m release clause.
