Fulham and Everton are both interested in taking Richarlison off Tottenham’s hands in January. The problem is that the Brazilian seems to have his eye on Turkey.
Of course money has quite a lot to do with it. Galatasaray and Trabzonspor have indicated they could offer him better wages than he’s currently earning at Spurs. Neither Fulham nor Everton are expected to match his existing salary.
There’s another interesting twist, too. Richarlison doesn’t even have an agent at the moment. He’s handling his own future, and anyone wanting to represent him needs to come with something concrete.
Meanwhile, Tottenham have a problem of their own. Their legal position could become rather less comfortable if the forward is still stuck on the sidelines in January.
Fulham and Everton interested, but Richarlison prefers Turkey
ESPN Brazil journalist Bruno Andrade has brought three updates on Richarlison’s situation, starting with the clubs looking to sign him.
First, Fulham and Everton have both shown interest in a January deal. Everton, of course, already tried to bring their former player back during the summer. That didn’t work out, but they haven’t completely abandoned the idea.
The issue now is Richarlison’s salary. Andrade explains that neither Premier League club would be willing to pay what he currently earns at Tottenham.
In Turkey, things look rather different. Galatasaray and Trabzonspor have been making promises of more lucrative offers, potentially paying Richarlison even more than Spurs do.
Those offers haven’t actually arrived yet, so there’s still some way to go. But Andrade says Richarlison’s priority right now is financial – which could have something to do with his private island thing. And that helps explain why Turkey appeals to him more than staying in England.
Richarlison has parted ways with his agent – And wants offers, not promises

The second development concerns who’s actually handling Richarlison’s future. Andrade reveals that the 29-year-old has terminated his agreement with CAA Base.
He’s now effectively a free agent in the representation market, with no official agent looking after his interests.
That doesn’t mean there’s a shortage of people wanting the job. Quite the opposite. Andrade says plenty of agents have been approaching Richarlison, hoping to take charge of his next move.
The Brazilian, though, has a fairly straightforward condition. “I’ll only sign with you if you bring me an offer from a club”, is the message he’s been giving prospective representatives, according to Andrade.
Agents often arrive with career plans, ideas about possible destinations and promises of what they might achieve. Richarlison isn’t interested in any of that unless there’s an actual proposal on the table.
Bring him a club willing to sign him, and he’ll talk. Turn up with a nice presentation about his future, and that apparently won’t get very far.
Until someone meets that condition, the player himself will keep managing his own career.
Tottenham may need to hurry in January
The third update might be the most important one for Spurs. Richarlison previously explored terminating his contract, either through an amicable agreement or by claiming just cause. Neither approach got anywhere.
Tottenham were comfortable with their legal position throughout the second half of 2026. They didn’t believe the Brazilian had sufficient grounds to force his way out.
But January could change that. Andrade says he’s spoken to people within Tottenham’s legal department, and there’s a growing concern about what happens if Richarlison remains sidelined into the new year.
At that point, the player could have a stronger case for taking legal action and seeking unilateral termination. It wouldn’t guarantee him a victory, of course. But the risk for Tottenham would be greater than it has been over the past few months.
And that puts some pressure on the club to sort things out. Spurs are now expected to “race against time” to negotiate his departure in January, rather than allow the situation to drag on.
There’s also the small matter of his contract. Richarlison’s current deal expires in June 2027, so from January he can negotiate a pre-contract with another club for a summer move. That gives him another option if Tottenham can’t agree an immediate transfer.
In the end, getting Richarlison out of the door might be a little more urgent than it looked a few weeks ago.
