There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Fulham and Aston Villa have stepped up their pursuit for Besiktas attacker Semih Kılıçsoy in recent weeks.
The 18-year-old has been linked with both Premier League sides this summer following his performances for the Black Eagles last season.
Sabah today report on the latest developments regarding the future of Kılıçsoy and a proposed move to England. They claim Fulham have made the first move after scout Brian Talbot approved him previously.
Fulham then approached the Istanbul club with an offer of €15m. plus add-ons, however, this was rejected by Besiktas.
Aston Villa are also said to have made an offer for Kılıçsoy after claims they came in with a higher bid of €18m for the young forward. Again, this was rejected by the Super Lig club and there are no reports whether the two English sides will come in with improved offers.
Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal have also been linked with the player in this window.
Kılıçsoy started 20 Super Lig games last season, scoring 11 goals. He’s contracted to the Istanbul club until June 2028.
