Portuguese newspaper O Jogo report Pedro Neto is set for a Chelsea medical to complete something of a whirlwind move from Wolves.
The Portugal international is now ‘very close’ to joining the Blues, and O Jogo say, according to their own information, he’ll become a Chelsea player unless there’s any hitches as the deal is finalised.
The two Premier League clubs have reached an agreement which O Jogo will see Wolves receive €60m for the attacker. There’s also a potential further €3m in bonus payments.
Pedro Neto himself has given his approval to the move, so will have agreed personal terms with the west London club.
Earlier this year the player’s agent Jorge Mendes said during an interview that if it hadn’t been for unfortunate injuries then Pedro Neto would have already been sold for more than €100m.
For Wolves it sees them lose one of their best players, and perhaps for less than hoped for previously, but it does give them some extra funds for the rest of the market.
