Former Sunderland midfielder Liam Bridcutt is on the verge of returning to Leeds United after passing his medical yesterday. The 27-year-old spent last season on loan with the Championship side, and was surplus to requirements at Sunderland.
Bridcutt will become the ninth signing made by Leeds United this summer, and his signing could be announced before tonight’s clash with Fulham.
Last week Sunderland agreed to terminate Bridcutt’s contract by mutual consent, which paved the way for his move to Leeds United.
Despite being a free agent, Leeds United need to come to agreement with the player with regards to his personal terms, but it now seems this has been addressed.
