Manchester City confirmed Jack Grealish’s transfer on Thursday, just an hour after Barcelona announced Lionel Messi’s departure from the Camp Nou.

The 34-year-old was a free agent for over a month and failure from the La Liga side to tie down their superstar to a new contract due to ‘La Liga regulations’ saw them part ways with the forward.

Since the Catalan club made the announcement, the Premier League winners have been pushed forward as a potential candidate, mainly because they tried to sign Messi last summer when he was still at Barcelona.

Sport on Friday explained the Citizens are not planning to make an offer for the Argentine as they look to bring in Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane to the Etihad.

However, Le10 Sport have come out with an exclusive report, stating otherwise. It’s said the Copa América winner has received a ‘concrete and official offer’ from the owners of the English club, the City Football Group.

They have transmitted a ‘firm proposal’ to the player and his entourage. Le10 claim they have obtained the details of the offer made by the CFG, which includes a three-year contract.

As per the proposal, Messi will have to spend the first two years with Pep Guardiola’s side and the last one will be in the US, with New York City FC, a club also owned by the City Football Group.

Paris Saint-Germain are in the picture and if they want to sign Messi, they must first offload ‘several players’. Therefore, Le10 state PSG haven’t made a concrete offer so far for the South American.
