Earlier this week, it was reported that Yoane Wissa, currently at FC Lorient in Ligue 1, was being followed by Brentford.

The forward, who scored 10 goals last season, has had a difficult off-season, having been assaulted in July and suffering injuries to his eyes, but that appears to be sorted as the Bees are going ahead with the purchase.

That’s according to Loïc Tanzi, who simply takes to Twitter for RMC Sport to announce that Wissa ‘will become a Brentford player’ this transfer window.

The tweet is short on information, but everything fans of the Premier League club need to know is there, primarily that they can count on the 24-year-old next season.

Thomas Frank’s side hav already been quite active on the transfer market this summer, buying Kristoffer Ajer from Celtic, Frank Onyeka from FC Midtjylland and Myles Peart-Harris from Chelsea’s U23s.

It appears Yoane Wissa will soon be added to that list.
