Chelsea youngster Bertrand Traore has told the Dutch media he made the right decision to join Ajax in the summer, but dreams of making it at his parent club. The forward is currently on loan with the Dutch side in order to get first team football.
Speaking to Voetbal International, Traore said he still has a desire to play for Chelsea in the major competitions, but for now he needs to concentrate on playing for Ajax. The young forward knows that for now playing in Holland is good place for his development, but his prime objective is to make it as a Chelsea player.
“Amsterdam is the key to a starting place at Chelsea. My ultimate dream,” said Traore.
Ajax’s is Traore’s second loan in the Netherlands, having spent a season and a half with Chelsea’s partner club Vitesse.
There was a chance Traore could have stayed with Chelsea for the current season, but in the end it was thought best for him to go out again. Ajax is a brilliant club to spend a season at, and it’s all part of the long term plan to help Traore fulfil his dream.
