Last weekend, Brighton & Hove Albion confirmed that an agreement has been reached with FC Nordsjælland for Ibrahim Osman’s transfer. He’s signed a deal until 2029 and will arrive at The Amex after this season.
Both Nordsjælland director of football operations Phil Radley and their sporting director, Jan Laursen were pleased with the winger’s decision to join “well-run” Brighton.
Eurosport Norway had a chat with the 19-year-old to find out his views on why he picked the Premier League side and his comments are relayed by Indkast.dk.
“My dream was to play in the Premier League and to play for a team that has the same playing style as Nordsjælland. They give young players the chance and I think it’s a good step for me and my career,” he said.
The youngster has also hinted the Seagulls could be a stepping stone for him to make a move elsewhere in the future.
“Brighton made an offer and I really like their style of play. If you look at their history with young players, they are also a selling club. I think it is good for my development,” Osman explained.
The attacker arrived in Europe for the first time when the Danish club signed him from Ghanaian side Right to Dream Academy in early 2023.
So far, Osman has made 39 appearances for Nordsjælland’s first team, scoring four goals and registering five assists in the process.
