As we’ve said before, it’s quite amazing the amount of rumours regarding Simone Zaza during his unimpressive loan spell at West Ham.

The striker has failed to score in his nine appearances for the Hammers, but the Italian media still think he’s a big name in the market.

Calcio Mercato are reporting today that Juventus officials watched the player closely last Sunday, as they travelled to Liverpool and attended to West Ham’s away match against Everton.

The Italian club are said to be aware of the player’s situation in East London as his start has not been convincing. Besides having already paid €5m for the loan, West Ham would still spend €20m in case Zaza reaches a certain number of games.

Juventus’ interest in this business would be that, in case West Ham decide not to give Zaza a chance to sign, the Old Lady would be already looking for other options in the market.

Zaza is said to have other teams looking for him in Italy, so in the case West Ham give up on the permanent deal, it would not be the end of the world for Juventus.
