Sporting’s Youssef Chermiti is getting closer to joining Everton, according to claims from Portugal.
The two clubs have already agreed a deal of €15m, plus €5m in bonuses, with the Lions also entitled to receive a percentage of any profit from the striker’s future sale.
That’s according to O Jogo, who say an agreement between the 19-year-old and Everton was missing as he wasn’t pleased with the Merseyside club’s initial proposal.
There was a development on this front as the two parties have now found a ‘complete understanding’ in the ‘last few hours’.
O Jogo add the Portugal U21 international is set to undergo medical examinations before completing a move to Goodison Park.
Record and Jornal de Notícias also state Everton have found an agreement with the player for personal terms in the last few hours.
Record further add AFC Bournemouth and Wolverhampton Wanderers had shown interest but Everton have been successful in beating competition from the Premier League duo to sign Chermiti.
