Mundo Deportivo are reporting Marc Roca is now very close to returning to Spanish football.
Earlier on Monday we covered claims from Spain which stated both Real Betis and Sevilla were keen on signing the Leeds United midfielder on loan.
It would now appear that the green side of the city has been successful, at least if Mundo Deportivo are correct.
Sergio Escario reports for them that Roca moving to Real Betis is ‘imminent’, and the journalist has details on the basis of the move.
Roca is set to leave Leeds United on loan, with Betis getting their way in that regard. There will be no loan fee, but the Andalusia club will cover the player’s wages for the coming season.
The Elland Road club are said to have given their approval to this structuring of the deal. Interestingly, there’s no claim regarding a potential purchase option, so if there’s not one in place then any permanent move would have to be freshly negotiated in the future.
Real Betis don’t have a lot of funds, so the loan deal works well for them.
