Mario Mandzukic and Manchester United claims aren’t going anywhere.
Last week the Italian and Croatian media again pushed the idea of the striker moving to Old Trafford in the January window. Maurizio Sarri then confirmed the player hasn’t been training with Juventus, since rejecting a move to Qatar.
Calciomercato report Mandzukic is the first name on Juve’s list for a winter move, and it’s stated Manchester United ‘should’ be his destination. Whilst they make it clear it’s not a certainty, it’s stated ‘everything indicates’ the Red Devils will be the striker’s next club.
There has to be agreement on the financials between the clubs, and it’s once again stated the Turin are looking to get €10m for their player.
Manchester United may feel that figure is too high for a 33 year old, but they won’t have a lot of other options in the January window.
An Emre Can exit is said to still be a distinct possibility, although this time he isn’t linked to Manchester United. Adrien Rabiot’s future is also under a little doubt.
Having signed both the midfielders as free agents, Juve have a good opportunity to cash-in.
