Manchester United forward Antony has explained he’s found himself again while on loan at Real Betis, where everything is currently going to plan for him.

AS cover comments from the Brazilian today as he continues to shine for the Spanish team after joining them on loan in the January transfer window.

The forward was one of several departures from Manchester United last month as they looked to trim the squad and balance their books.

He had failed to impress under Ruben Amorim since his arrival in November, continuing what has been a miserable time at Old Trafford since a big money move from Ajax.

While he’s struggled for goals, assists or even any kind of positive performance at Manchester United, he’s flourished early on at Betis bagging three goals and one assist in four games to date.

That’s an impressive start given he’d previously managed 12 goals and five assists in 96 games for Manchester United.

He’s now been questioned about what’s caused the sudden turnaround and admits he’s found himself again in Betis, while he’s finding life in Spain a much better fit personally too.

“The most important thing is that I have found myself again. I am happy to be enjoying myself every day. Things go well when we are happy, content,” he said.

“I was playing little, but I have been working a lot. I needed to be happy with myself. The best version of being happy with myself is the most important thing. I played very little in Manchester, but I am grateful to them and also to the coach, who spoke to me.

“I have also done very well in Manchester; I won two titles, and I am very grateful. But when I say that here, I have found myself, happiness, the people are like us in Brazil. The sun helps a lot. I am very happy here. Every day I wake up with a smile and that is very important.”
