Everton will be given another opportunity to sign Joaquin Correa, two years after he snubbed the Premier League side to join Inter Milan from Lazio.
The 28-year-old followed Simone Inzaghi from Lazio to the San Siro in 2021 and the move hasn’t paid off. FcInterNews state the forward is ‘about to bid farewell’ to the club after this season and likely to join a club outside Italy.
Reports linking the player to Sevilla have been dismissed but the same cannot be said about the Premier League, where Everton get a mention.
West Ham were credited with interest but they haven’t progressed further in their discussions. At the moment, the report states the Toffees are the ‘most plausible club’ for the Argentina international because they need to bolster their attack in the summer
FcInterNews highglights Correa already received a ‘concrete offer’ from the Merseyside club, two years ago. He turned down Everton’s proposal in order to join the Nerazzurri.
With the South American expected to leave Inter after this season, Everton could find the road clear, if they come forward to sign Correa.
Correa has managed three goals and three assists from 29 games in all competitions this season.
