Everton are expected to bolster their attacking division in the summer window after failing to bring in reinforcements for that position in the winter market.
The Toffees had looked at a few attackers in January and Manchester United’s Anthony Elanga was among them.
That’s according to Foot Mercato, who say the 21-year-old continues to be on Everton’s agenda for this window. They want to ‘launch an assault’ on the forward.
Having tried to acquire the player earlier this year, it’s said Sean Dyche’s side ‘want to go in a more offensive way’ this time.
Foot Mercato, who make it clear this is their original information, suggest this should help the Merseyside club make progress to land the Sweden international. They don’t specify if it would be a loan deal or a permanent transfer.
The forward clocked in just over 700 minutes from 26 games last season as Erik ten Hag had mainly used him as a substitute. Due to the tough competition at Manchester United, the website states he could change clubs in the current window.
Last month, Elanga told Aftonbladet that it wasn’t easy for him last season when asked about a potential exit from Manchester United this summer.
