After selling Romelu Lukaku to Chelsea, Inter Milan strengthened their attack in the summer by signing Edin Džeko and Joaquin Correa.
Everton showed great interest in Correa, but the Argentine had his heart set on leaving Lazio for the Serie A winners. Prior to sealing the deal for Correa, Marcus Thuram was also on the Nerazzurri’s agenda.
Simone Inzaghi’s side haven’t forgotten about the Borussia Mönchengladbach player, reports Calciomercato. The Toffees and Borussia Dortmund are also in mix in for the forward.
It’s claimed that along with Inter, Everton and BVB ‘think of’ the France international, who is currently recovering from an injury he suffered in August.
Thuram was not in favour of joining Inter in the summer, despite the concrete approach. This was confirmed by Mönchengladbach sporting director Max Eberl and his comments would come as encouragement for Everton and Dortmund.
“It’s true that Inter showed great interest and that there was a very specific offer. But first of all, Marcus didn’t want to leave. Second, we looked at the offer, but actually didn’t want to let him go. Then there was the injury,” Eberl told Bild last week.
