Out of action for the best part of the season because of a series of injuries, Yerry Mina has only managed 10 Premier League appearances for Everton.

He’s barely managed to feature under Frank Lampard, and his most recent setback involving his thigh, has seen him last play on February 8th, in the 3-1 loss to Newcastle.

The Colombia international has been nursing his injury since, but there has been good news this week, with claims he could come back to training this week.

Well, this has been backed up in Colombia, with journalist Pipe Sierra reporting that the Everton player’s recovery is ‘progressing in the best way’ possible.

Not only that, but the 27-year-old ‘will return to individual training on the field in the next few days’, suggesting that while he may not be ready for the game against West Ham on April 3rd, there could be a chance of him maybe returning for the clash against Manchester United the following week.

We’ll have to wait and see about all that, because the last thing Everton will want is to rush their centre-back into action, only for him to suffer yet another injury that could prove detrimental to the club’s form in the final run-in to the campaign.
