Everton are having a great start to the season under manager Ronald Koeman, with the club currently second in the Premier League table.
With 13 points from 5 games, Everton are flying, and perhaps not getting the attention their exploits deserve.
Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport are paying attention and on Monday they’ve named Everton defender Seamus Coleman in their European Team of the Week. Each week the famous old pink newspaper selects players from around Europe, whilst ignoring their own Serie A, and picks the best eleven.
Coleman finds himself in the team with some rather big stars like Lionel Messi, Antoine Griezmann and Edinson Cavani.
Coleman’s clever finish against Middlesbrough will have helped get him attention, but his all round display was again good. The 27 year old is one of several Everton players clearly enjoying their football under Koeman, and the club’s fans will hope it continues.
