Everton and Nottingham Forest have ‘shown their interest’ in Villarreal forward Arnaut Danjuma and the Spanish side ‘do not rule out’ a departure.
That’s according to Onda Cero, who back up the claims that Everton are chasing the forward but also throw relegation rivals Nottingham Forest into the mix.
Everton have been linked with a move for Danjuma since yesterday, when it was reported they had opened talks with Villarreal over a loan deal until the end of the season.
That was further backed up today with a report in Spain stating that Villarreal were open to a loan deal to help ease financial issues at the club.
Onda Cero now provide their take, explaining that the Castellón-based club ‘do not rule out’ more departures this month, although for the moment there are no concrete offers for any player.
The Premier League is sniffing around their squad again, though, either Danjuma or Nicolas Jackson are being targeted by several English clubs.
The Dutchman has ‘lost his dominant role’ this season and seems to be one of the ‘main options’ for a move away if and when an offer comes along that the club and player ‘consider suitable’.
Everton and Nottingham Forest have ‘shown their interest’ in the player but at the moment there is no ‘concrete offer’ from the Toffees. Onda specifically say no offer has arrived from them, which would suggest that their interest is further along than Forest’s.
However, Danjuma has never hidden the fact that his ‘dream’ is to return to British UK in the future and he would be happy to move this month if the right offer comes along.
