Barcelona defender Hector Bellerin has ‘rejected an offer’ from Everton to move there this month, considering his time in England as over.
That’s according to Sport, who say the full-back has no desire to return to England and wants to continue playing in Spain.
The newspaper explains that despite his contract expiring in June and there being no renewal on the table at present, he and Barcelona have decided to honour it completely.
The full-back ‘did not want’ to move in the winter transfer window and the club are not in a position to be able to replace him anyway.
Thus, both parties have decided to wait until the summer to decided his future and that has led him to reject various proposals.
One of those came from Everton, who made an offer to bring him back to the Premier League following his long spell with Arsenal.
Bellerin wasn’t interested, though, considering his time in England as over. His focus is on Spain and if he were to move, it would be back to Real Betis.
Whether Everton made an offer for a permanent transfer or a loan isn’t made clear but it’s stated a bid was made to the player and rejected outright.
