After not months, but years of a saga, we’re getting to a decisive period in Anderson Talisca’s future.
Besiktas have until the end of the month to use their buying option over the player, which is €21m. In case they don’t, it’s likely that Benfica will end up selling the midfielder to someone else.
We’ve seen the 24-year-old being linked to the likes of Liverpool, Wolverhampton and Manchester United in the past couple of months. But today, there’s something about Everton as well.
We’ve already covered a very strange story which linked Talisca to the Toffees, which actually didn’t make any sense. The player was involved in a old story where Benfica wanted Tosun and would try to get him on a swap, but that was from his time at Besiktas. That’s why we ruled it out.
However, today, the Merseyside club get a link one again, this time in Portuguese newspaper Record. They were taking claims from Brazil to say Roma are interested in Talisca, but add Everton to the mess as well.
The Toffees have been following the situation, according to the claim. Their disadvantage is that Talisca likes Roma because of the chance to play in the Champions League next season.
Record doesn’t credit anyone else for the link, and these claims couldn’t be found elsewhere in the past few days. Talisca is still a player we’d love to see in the Premier League, but these rumours pointing him out to several random clubs get quite annoying sometimes.
